At Thrive Therapy Services, our mission is to help individuals from all walks of life move from surviving to thriving.  Our commitment to empowerment and healing extends beyond therapy through our sister nonprofit, Kelly’s K9s, Tails of Courage.  Thrive and Kelly’s K9s share a deeply connected mission—to provide individuals with the tools, support, and resources they need to reclaim their lives, safety, and sense of self.

What is Kelly’s K9s, Tails of Courage?

Founded by Kelly Sutliff, a domestic violence survivor, Kelly’s K9s, Tails of Courage was born out of her personal journey to healing and empowerment. After enduring the trauma of domestic violence, Kelly found a lifeline in her first trained protection dog, Stella.  Stella offered not only physical safety but also emotional support, becoming a source of strength, courage, and hope throughout Kelly’s healing process. This transformative experience inspired Kelly to create Kelly’s K9s, Tails of Courage—a nonprofit dedicated to providing professionally trained protection dogs to survivors of domestic violence.  These dogs go beyond offering safety; they become trusted companions who help survivors rebuild confidence, reduce fear and anxiety, and navigate the challenging path to recovery.

A Shared Vision: Empowerment, Healing, and Growth

While Thrive Therapy Services and Kelly’s K9s, Tails of Courage serve distinct roles and provide different types of support, their mission and vision is deeply intertwined.  At Thrive, we understand that true well-being involves a holistic foundation—supporting the emotional, mental, and even physical aspects of recovery and self-improvement.  Kelly’s K9s ensures that survivors of domestic violence receive the physical safety and companionship they need to heal and move forward.  This partnership reflects our shared belief that everyone deserves the chance to thrive—not just emotionally, but physically, mentally, and spiritually.  By working together, Thrive and Kelly’s K9s create pathways for individuals to reclaim their strength, independence, and sense of purpose.
