frequently asked questions

Q. How long do I stay in coaching, consultation, or therapy services?

A. This depends on individual needs and goals, with some services being a one-time support, while other coaching or therapy services continuing over the course of months.  During the start of the process you will meet with your therapist or coach to create a plan for the goals of your work together, and a timeline to meet those goals.  As progress is different for every person, new challenges can arise, or there can be changes along the way, the plan is reviewed and can be adjusted over time.

Q. Are sessions confidential?

A. Sessions are confidential except for the following circumstances:

  • If you are threatening to hurt yourself or others

  • If you or your child reports child abuse or elder abuse

  • Additionally, your records may be subpoenaed if you are involved in legal issues.

Q. How long and frequent are sessions?

A. Each session is typically 45-55 minutes long depending on the service, and takes place once a week.  Longer sessions are available based on need.

Q. What is the fee for sessions?

A. Consultation, coaching and therapy sessions range between $150.00 and $250.00.  Insurance is not accepted.  For therapy sessions however, a bill will be provided to you for submission to your health insurance provider.  In most cases, you will be reimbursed at your provider’s out-of-network rate.  Please check with your provider for further information.  Coaching and consultation services are not insurance reimbursable.
